Parka - Cold Rated -North Face, RAB, Mountain Hardwear or Outdoor Research SM - 4XL

Cold Rated Parka - Does not have a hard shell. This is a down parka, with a hood and drawstrings. 

SM to XL - also extended sizes up to 4xl 

Perfect for average winter temps in Alaska.  If  you are aurora viewing or doing dog sledding, extended time outdoors, it is best to layer. 
What base layers you need depend on many factors. What type of activities you are participating in, weather, your health, age, etc. 

Base layers and lighter layer underneath.  

Fleece or other synthetic jackets.  If layering you will often want to go up a size.  Some people want to wear a shell over this heavy insulating layer.

* People get colder when they are tired, hungry, dehydrated, late at night, etc.

IF you are are Aurora viewing or dog sledding - you are not generating heat. That is considered inactive use. 

You do not want to wear a jacket/snowpants when forecasted tempers are at the the max temperature rating or the parka.
